Games Included

Jungle Chess
You must use strategy to keep your pieces from being captured or getting caught in traps in the jungle. Each player begins with one each of the following pieces: rat, cat, wolf, dog, panther, tiger, lion, and elephant. These pieces have values of 1 through 8, respectively.  You win the game by moving one of your pieces into your opponent’s den or by capturing all of your opponent’s pieces.

Tablut
Tablut is part of the Tafl family of games, played in Northern Europe from around 400 AD until it was later replaced by modern versions of chess. Tablut is perhaps the best documented version of these types of games. In 1732, Carolus Linnaeus recorded the rules and a drawing of the board in his journal while travelling through the area. It is played on a 9x9 board.  The object:  Black's goal is to move the king to one of the 4 dark corner squares, and white's goal is to capture the king.

Surakarta
The strategy game includes circular paths which loop around the corners of the board. In order to make a capture, a piece must loop around one or more of the circular paths before moving onto a space occupied by an enemy piece.
