Comic situations abound when Catholic schoolgirls and their nun-chaperones from St. Francis Academy take a bus trip to California for a religious youth rally. The generation gap is not only apparent between the students and the mother superior, but also between the older and younger nuns in the order. Rosalind Russell reprises her role as the wry but wise mother superior challenged by her fun loving students.
