Warren Barfield Releases Sophomore Album Reach on March 7
Wednesday, March 01, 2006

Carolina-born singer/songwriter Warren Barfield is set to release his highly-anticipated sophomore studio album Reach on March 7 with new label partner Essential Records. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Marshall Altman (of Marc Broussard fame), this new project is grounded in soulful pop and captures the intensity of Barfield’s signature concert vocals. Barfield penned all 10 songs with three co-writes including the first radio single “Saved,” co-written with renowned Country music artist Bryan White.

Lyrically, Reach delivers songs with depth and relevance inspired by the life events of Barfield’s past two years which include a change of record companies and his sister’s tragic car accident which killed a close family friend.
“This record is talking myself through the last year or two of my life,” Barfield notes. “It’s a lot of questions about things I’ve faced in the career and the business world, a lot of things I’ve faced in my personal life, things I’ve faced with my family. It’s just talking me through who I am and what I stand on.”

In support of the new record, Barfield hits the road this month with Shawn McDonald, playing intimate venues across the country on a 30-city tour. The tour kicks off March 3 in Brevard, N.C.

Warren Barfield was one of the most successful acts to break in 2003, with his self-titled debut delivering two top ten singles with “My Heart Goes Out” and “Mistaken,” along with being voted the No. 1 New Artist of 2003 by R&R Magazine.
