Janet Parshall’s America Features Live Interview with Caedmon’s Call
Wednesday, November 17, 2004

Outreach-minded, folk/pop group Caedmon’s Call continues to raise its voice for the voiceless as members, Cliff and Danielle Young engage national talk radio this week as the featured guests on Janet Parshall’s America, live Thursday, Nov. 18, 2:00 - 2:30 ET.

The piece will focus on the band’s recent Share The Well release which is the first album of its kind in Christian music, recorded with local musicians in remote areas of India, Ecuador and Brazil to initiate widespread awareness of the oppressive caste discrimination against India’s 250 million “Dalits,” considered less worthy than even the lowest class and referred to as the ‘untouchables.’ The album also serves as a critical reminder of the existing persecution and poverty in the three countries overall.

USA Today Review Of Caedmon’s Call - Share The Well
Tuesday, November 09, 2004

Caedmon’s Call, Share the Well (* * * ½) Christian bands often mimic popular mainstream sounds six months past, but the members of Caedmon’s Call combine their folk-rock leanings with lessons learned from missions to India, Ecuador and Brazil to create something truly distinctive. And where most American Christian acts come from a perspective of financial well-being, Caedmon’s writes from the perspective of impoverishment and, even better, of wealth humbled by the faith of poverty. In “International Love Song”, the band imagines perfect love as “a world without hunger.” That’s a message with implications in the moment and for eternity. —Mansfield
